According to ESPN.com, the Buffalo Bills will trade disgruntled left tackle Jason Peters before the draft and the team wants at least a first-round pick and a third-round pick in exchange for his rights.
Now granted, the Bills have nothing in their arsenal to replace Peters but the team went through this same situation(holdout) last season. It is clear that a mutual agreement is not going to take place.
Jason Peters is only 26 years old. This is the perfect time to give him a long term extension. He has at least 6-8 years left in the tank. The Philadelphia Eagles have 12 draft selections in the 2009 NFL Draft. They are known for wheeling and dealing their picks. They have two first round selections and Offensive Tackle is a clear and present need. They also have plenty of cap space. Do the deal!
The Bills would be able to address more of their needs by gaining an additional 1st Round selection.
