BEWARE RBBC

What is RBBC? Well, in fantasy terms, RBBC is Running Back By Committee. It usually results in cold, sleepless nights for Fantasy Football GMs.

Just a quick look at a few situations worth watching:

DALLAS: According to Dallas News, "Phillips said he expects the heavy lifting evenly split in the backfield between Marion Barber and Felix Jones. "Hopefully we'll get a lot of carries with him [Jones] and Marion," Phillips said. "I wouldn't be surprised if they were back there together some." FANTASY TRANSLATION: Great, just freakin great! Barber needs to emerge here given draft status.

TAMPA BAY: TampaBay.com reports, "Running back Cadillac Williams is listed as the starter, meaning he'll be the back to kick-start the three-man rotation the team plans to use. Derrick Ward is listed No. 2 and Earnest Graham is listed third. Coaches revealed their plan for using the trio in the third preseason game. They used Williams as the starter for two series, followed by Ward for two series and Graham for one. After that, the rotation begins again. Coach Raheem Morris said that "2-2-1" format will continue to be used during the regular season. FANTASY TRANSLATION: Three words come to mind on this one, "Fantasy Cluster _ _ _ _ !"

NEW ORLEANS: Printed on Fox Sports, "I think so,"
Saints Coach Sean Payton said Wednesday when asked if the club might employ a three-back rotation this season." FANTASY TRANSLATION: Reggie Bush will get you points in PPR league and Thomas/ Bell will grind it out. This plan and $5 will get you a 6 pack of Natural Lite Beer. Wonderful.

And finally, OAKLAND: Although weak on the offensive line, the Raiders do have a stable of running backs. Justin Fargas, Darren McFadden and Michael Bush. FANTASY TRANSLATION: Who's the bell cow? Ask Tom Cable and hope he doesn't punch you in the face! Then again, if you are depending on the Oakland running game to lead you to fantasy success, you should get one to the chops!

Beware RBBC!

A Chris Henry update.
More about the NFL Drafthere.
The Cincinnati Bengals just held a press conference on the death of Wide Receiver Chris Henry. According to WTLT Cincinnati, Bengals Owner Mike Brown said that the receiver was well-liked by most in the organization:

"We knew him in a different way than his public persona... We liked him, he had worked through troubles in his life and had finally, seemingly reached a point in his life where he was blossoming. And then this tragedy cut him down."

Both Brown and Head Coach Marvin Lewis said that many spent a lot of time working to help Chris Henry. "I think everybody here, a lot of people here have spent a lot of time helping Chris develop as a person," said Lewis.
Just the news.
